Hyaluronic acid filler

The word filler refers to the use of a biocompatible material that is used to fill a defect or create a volume. Among the fillers currently on the market, hyaluronic acid is undoubtedly the most frequently used: this is because hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin, which gives it hydration and turgor. It is a perfectly biocompatible and resorbable material, with “volumetric increase” functions. Through very small injections, it is inoculated under the skin of the face, to increase the thickness of the lips or to fill wrinkles, depressions and furrows, so as to make them less visible, raising the epidermal surface that covers them. The duration is variable, depending on the characteristics of the product used and the patient, but ranges on average from 6 to 12 months. The treatment is not excessively invasive, and after performing it, it allows us to resume our daily activities without difficulty.
