PDO thread system.
Polydioxane biostimulation threads (PDOs) are devices made of the same material as common resorbable suture surgical threads. They are implanted under the skin through a simple injection with a very thin needle, in order to create a support network inside the dermis. Thanks to the material of which they are composed, they are reabsorbed over time (on average they are completely reabsorbed within 6 months). By dissolving gradually, the threads stimulate the synthesis of new collagen obtaining the stimulation of fibroblasts and angiogenesis processes. Newly formed collagen continues to perform a dermal scaffolding function for 18-24 months. This type of procedure can be used both on the face and on the body, such as on the elbows, knees, buttocks, arms, abdomen and inner thighs. reduction in wrinkles and a significant improvement in texture, obtaining at the same time a considerable lifting effect.
