Treatment with Botulinuca toxin

Botulinum is a drug used to treat facial expression wrinkles. Its mechanism of action is to “relax” the muscles that cause the wrinkles, so that they appear less evident and over time will tend to form less. Facial expression wrinkles are in fact caused by the contraction of the underlying muscles, in particular those of the upper third of the face. The muscle relaxant effect of botulinum toxin therefore allows both the reduction of evidence and the prevention of worsening of wrinkles, and a longer duration of the filling effect of fillers. The effect of botulinum toxin has some individual variability, with an average duration of 4 – 6 months.
